Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce Announces Summer Events
ELLENSBURG, WA – May 1, 2023 - The countdown to our summer events begin! We are looking forward to the many events happening across Kittitas County this summer including our annual events such as Pioneer Days, Independence Day Celebration, Lemonade Day and Kruisin’ Kittitas Car Show and Burnouts.
Pioneer Days Parade is an annual tradition in Cle Elum which happens every year on the 4th of July weekend. Saturday, July 1, 2023 kicks off the weekend with the Pioneer Days Parade which starts at 10:00 a.m running west on 1st Street between Peoh and Pennsylvania Avenue. Those wanting to participate in the Pioneer Days Parade can fill out the application on our website. Visit the downtown area for many other events happening on this day following the parade.
Independence Day Celebration is taking place at Memorial Park in South Cle Elum on July 4, 2023 from 11:00 a.m - twilight. The festivities will include a kid zone with local vendors, activities and a bounce house. Attendees can also expect food trucks and a beer garden with an assortment of beverages, with rotating music and entertainment throughout the day. The event will wrap up with the annual Fireworks Show around dusk. Those wanting to be a vendor at the Independence Day Celebration can sign up on our website.
Lemonade Day is a fun, experiential program that teaches youth how to start, own and operate their very own business - a lemonade stand. Each year, in participating cities, youth have the opportunity to experience entrepreneurship by setting up their business during their city's community-wide Lemonade Day. Registration is open starting on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 and runs through the summer for students in Kindergarten - 5th Grade across Kittitas County. On August 19, 2023, participants will showcase their Lemonade Day stands county-wide. Learn more about this 2nd annual event on our website here.
19th Annual Kruisin’ Kittitas Car Show and Burnouts Happening in downtown Kittitas on August 19, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. This Saturday, visit downtown for a car show (90+ vehicles), watch the burnout competition, bring your family and enjoy the kids zone, shop at our local market vendors, and so much more. Each of these events are free to the public and children with the exception of all food vendors, beer gardens and registrations for the car show and burnout event. More information about these events can be found on the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce website.
