Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce Cancels Cle Elum Independence Day Fireworks Show
ELLENSBURG, WA – July 2, 2021 - Due to the extreme heat and wind in Kittitas County, the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce has decided to cancel the Cle Elum Fireworks Show during the Independence Day Celebration on July 4, 2021.
The Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce has been working closely with the Cle Elum Fire Department's Fire Chief Ed Mills and the City of Cle Elum to come to this decision and keep the county safe. The Cle Elum Fire Department is in full support of this decision, as it allows more emergency resources to be available for potential fires in Washington state.
The Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce will still be putting on the Independence Day Celebration at Wye Park in Cle Elum on July 4, 2021, and extending the musical entertainment for an extra hour until 11 p.m. This free community event will begin at 1 p.m. with Americana-inspired activities for the whole family including live entertainment, a beer garden (21+ only), a bounce house, local vendors, and food trucks.
