Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce Assists Businesses To Receive $276,181 Funds Provided By Washington State Department of Commerce

ELLENSBURG, WA – July 12, 2023 - The Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce was in search of ways to support small businesses in Kittitas County who were calling out for help. After working with the Washington State Department of Commerce we were able to assist in presenting awards to four businesses from the Statewide Disaster Relief Fund this year. In total, the Department of Commerce received over 290 applicants from 21 counties throughout Washington. Grant awards range from $198 to $150,000 for a total of $5,325,488 being distributed state-wide.

“The Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce is a trusted county-wide resource and we are always on the lookout on behalf of businesses for funding that may become available. We understand the emotional trauma that business owners and their employees endure when it comes to natural disasters or accidents affecting their small business. On behalf of our organization, we stand with you and will fight with you to receive further support,” says Amy McGuffin, Chief Executive Officer of the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce.

Kittitas County was awarded a total of $276,181.00 to the recipients below:

Roslyn Downtown Association (Roslyn): A volunteer Washington Main Street Community and a program of the Washington Department of Archaeology in Roslyn, Washington. The four areas of focus are economic development, design, promotion, and outreach for the Roslyn business community.

Kitzke Cellars (Cle Elum): A multigenerational farm and vineyard with a passion for agriculture. With a focus in viticulture and wine, the Kitzke Cellars owns and operates a tasting room in Cle Elum called Upsidedown Wine.

The Last Resort (Ronald): This business offers something for everyone, from motor sport rentals, motel, RV sites and a restaurant to those who adventure in rural Ronald, Washington.

Rodeo City Gymnastics (Ellensburg): Celebrating 30 years of business, Rodeo City Gymnastics offers activities for children of all ages to enjoy. They are committed to the enrichment of its participants through the development of gymnastics skills in a safe and fun environment.

These small businesses in Kittitas County received their awards and funding in May 2023 and were presented by the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce.
