Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies

As you may know, the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce loves celebrating businesses, business growth and the economic advancement of our local communities.

We offer ribbon cutting ceremonies for all of Kittitas County including ground breaking ceremonies, business anniversaries and more. We bring the confetti, scissors, ribbon and fun! Our ribbon cutting ceremonies are in collaboration with local Downtown Associations: Ellensburg Downtown Association, Cle Elum Downtown Association, and Roslyn Downtown Association.

We are excited to celebrate you!

Congratulations on your new endeavor! Here at the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce, we are delighted to celebrate with our members on their accomplishments. Whether you are celebrating a groundbreaking, ribbon cutting or anniversary, the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce will be your partner in planning the perfect event.

A ribbon cutting ceremony is an important part of your overall marketing plan for launching a new business. It allows the local business community the opportunity to become acquainted with your business and services.

What to Expect

Your business should be one of the following: new (ground breaking or have opened doors within the last 12 months, changed ownership, moved to a new location, remodeled/expanded your present location, or celebrating a milestone (5, 10, 15, 20, 25 years +)

The Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce will provide the ribbon, giant scissors, confetti cannon (optional)

As a member of the Kittitas County Chamber of Commerce we can add your event to our Community Calendar and share on social media platforms prior to your ribbon cutting.

Our ribbon cutting ceremonies are in collaboration with local Downtown Associations: Ellensburg Downtown Association, Cle Elum Downtown Association, and Roslyn Downtown Association. If you business resides in one of the above downtowns - we will invite staff from their team to join in!

Post event, we will share photos or video on our Facebook and Instagram.

What to do

Pick a date and time. Please allow 3 to 4 weeks to organize the details of your event. To minimize the potential for conflict, avoid scheduling your event around holidays and other community events – this can reduce turnout for yours.

Submit a Ribbon Cutting request on our website. Make sure to include as much information as possible.

Develop an invite list, consider inviting potential/current customers, suppliers, contractors, employees, elected officials, neighboring businesses, friends and family, and business associates.

While optional, consider having light refreshments if you choose to have an open house following the Ribbon Cutting.

We suggest that you promote your event prior to your date of hosting. Sending invitations to your guest list will be where most of your event attendance will come from.
