The Kittitas County Chamber advocates at every level of government for the prosperity of business, the community, and the region. These efforts give a voice to the Kittitas County business community while assisting in developing better policy that supports growth and job creation.
To undertake these efforts, the Chamber assumes many roles in addressing issues:
Educate - present the pros and cons of particular issues to encourage dialogue and participation
Influence - actively support certain issues and push for action through public comment, relationships with elected officials and staff, communication with the business community, and communication with the media.
Connect - we may not take the lead on an issue but provide connections to the organizations that can best provide assistance
Champion - Take a leadership role on certain issues, providing resources and staff time to ensure that a particular outcome is achieved
The goal is to promote policies that enhance our region’s business climate through economic and workforce development initiatives; facilities and infrastructure improvements; and capital and operating budget funding for regional programs and projects.
