Cle Elum, Roslyn, Ronald, and Easton

roslynLocated in the northern part of Kittitas County and bordering King County, these towns sit at the base of the Cascade Mountain range. Each has its own feel and flair.

In Cle Elum, visitors can indulge in treats at one of the area’s oldest bakeries, buy fresh meat from two locally owned meat markets, go for hikes, camp, ride horses, hunt, and much more. Cle Elum is also home to several events, such as a classic car show and a pioneer street fair.

Between Cle Elum and Roslyn is Suncadia resort. You don’t have to live there to enjoy the resort, with its spa, ice skating rink, award-winning restaurants, winery, and events.

You may recognize Roslyn even if you’ve never been there. That’s because the popular television show “Northern Exposure” was filmed there. It’s a town steeped in mining history and is home to the state’s oldest tavern, the Brick. There is a Sunday farmers market in Roslyn and several great places to eat and shop.

Ronald and Easton are smaller towns that are best known for their outdoor recreation. Both are surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Lakes, trails, and forest make these towns a recreationalists’ dream.
