I-90 Snoqualmie PassWinter Conditions on I-90 Snoqualmie Pass

Snoqualmie Pass receives an average snowfall of 416 inches per year and may close periodically heading eastbound and/or westbound for avalanche control and collision closures due to winter conditions.

Road work on Snoqualmie Pass: The Washington State Department of Transportation began making improvements to a five-mile section of 1-90 Snoqualmie Pass between Hyak and Keechelus Dam in 2009. The project is scheduled for completion in 2015.
