Business Advocacy

Business Advocacy aims to influence public policy and resource allocation decisions within political, economic, social systems and institutions. It is motivated through moral and ethical principles to protect and expand the interest of the Chamber's membership.

With the guidance of a board of directors made up of many local professionals, business advocacy focuses on what matters most—policy, law, governmental regulations, health care, workers’ compensation, taxation, transportation, energy, education, and other related issues.

We make regular trips to Olympia, where we build strong relationships with lawmakers, allowing our members’ voices to be heard.

Our Government Affairs Committee meets at noon on the first Monday of each month, and assists in arranging for Legislative Day in Olympia, the 13th District Legislative Day, and Candidate Forums.

We are also a member of the Association of Washington Businesses (AWB), which lobbies and represents Washington businesses at the state level.
